I was born in Columbia, raised in the Upstate, and have called the Lowcountry home for more than 30 years.
While I have a diverse background, my law practice now focuses on Family Law (divorce/separation, custody, adoption, prenuptial agreements and postnuptial agreements), real estate litigation (easement disputes, boundary disputes, heirs property), and wills, trusts, probate and probate litigation.
I graduated from the University of South Carolina with an undergraduate degree in psychology and from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
I served as Chief Municipal Judge for the City of Walterboro and for the Town of Edisto Beach, President of the Colleton County Bar Association, member the Board of Directors for the South Carolina Artisans Center, Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Walterboro-Colleton Chamber of Commerce, adjunct professor at the Charleston School of Law and as a board member of Polaris Tech Charter School. I am admitted to the Colleton County Bar, the South Carolina Bar, the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
