I was born in Columbia, raised in the Upstate, and have called the Lowcountry home for nearly 30 years.

While I have a diverse background, my law practice now focuses on Family Law (divorce/separation, custody, adoption, prenuptial agreements and postnuptial agreements), real estate litigation (easement disputes, boundary disputes, heirs property), and wills, trusts, probate and probate litigation.

I graduated from the University of South Carolina with an undergraduate degree in psychology. In 1993 I graduated at the top of my class from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

I currently am Chief Municipal Judge for the City of Walterboro and for the Town of Edisto Beach, President of the Colleton County Bar Association, and a member the Board of Directors for the South Carolina Artisans Center. I formerly served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Walterboro-Colleton Chamber of Commerce, as  an adjunct professor at the Charleston School of Law and as a board member of Polaris Tech Charter School. I am admitted to the Colleton County Bar, the South Carolina Bar, the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
